Yes, Fang’s Chilli Sauce is Gluten free. We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy Fang’s Chilli Sauce and this was one unfortunate allergy we could assist in avoiding.
As we use fresh ingredients, we are influenced by what Mother Nature delivers. We do not add colour or additives, we focus on the flavour and balancing the Fang’s Chill Sauce taste. Sometimes due to the complex mix of colour, depth of flavour, or heat Fang’s Chilli Sauce could be lighter or darker. That’s your guarantee we are remaining true to our fresh ingredients pledge.

WHAT ARE BONITO FLAKES?
Bonito Flakes “Katsuobushi” is popular in Japanese dishes and is only used in small amounts. Katsuobushi is the Japanese name for dried, fermented and smoked skipjack tuna. Other dishes you might eat with Bonito Flakes are Miso Soup, Bento and Onigiri balls. Bonito flakes is known as being high in Umami, the fifth taste (Sweet, Sour, Salty, Bitter, Umami)
WHAT IS UMAMI?
Taking its name from a Japanese word meaning ‘pleasant savoury taste’. This taste occurs naturally in a number of foods including meats, fish, vegetables and diary. As a taste, Umami blends well with other tastes to expand and round them out. Most people don’t recognise umami when they encounter it but it plays an important role in making food taste delicious.

Fang’s Chilli Sauce is focused on spice with flavours and balance that can be put on any meal. We understand some people like it hot, so add fresh cut chilli to your meal if you prefer a hotter taste.
Our goal is to purchase chillies from the Tablelands one hour West of Cairns from our progressive farmer, Aldo. As the Fang Group’s demand for birds-eye chilli grows, Aldo and his family’s farm will grow with us.
Other suppliers include Austchilli Bundaberg, also in Queensland, who help feed the demand for quality birds-eye chillies.
Ginger, garlic, tomato and other essential ingredients are sourced from Louie at Total Food Networks, Cairns and Brisbane.

Located in Cairns we have the benefit of great produce but are challenged by freight costs, we cant change that and it’s important to us we don’t compromise on quality of Fang’s Chilli Sauce and we pay the farmer a fair price for their hard work.
1, 2 or 4 bottles are available but freight is a flat rate from Cairns for this type of package and 4 bottles offer you more value. Share purchases with friends and family as we continue to find ways to reduce these costs. You will be surprised how quickly you will go through a bottle.
